High Holy Days Services at Tsemach Adonai 5769/2008

Rosh HaShanah and Tashlich service at Wildwood Park in Saratoga Tuesday, September 30th  2008- 2:00 p.m.

Potluck- Ready-to-serve finger food and canned or boxed drinks only,  please.  Challah, honey, and apples provided

Yom Kipppur

Kol Nidre Wednesday, October 8th 2008-

Candle lighting  - 5:50 pmThursday, October 9th,Yom Kippur daytime activities to be announced
Thursday, October 9th, 2008 N’ilah (closing Yom Kippur Service) and Break—fast potluck (time to be announced)

Succot

Tuesday, October 14th 2008-   4 pm

Build Succah and set up potluck- in the afternoon.

Bring greenery to decorate the Succah and food for potluck

Succot Service at 6:00 pm.

Potluck dinner follows.

Shimeni Atzeret/Simchat Torah

Tuesday, Oct 21st 2008

Breakdown Succah at 5:00 pm and set up for potluck

Simchat Torah Service at 7:00 pm followed by dessert potluck— ready to serve finger food only

Shabbat Classes

Rabbi Charlie is teaching a new Leadership class. We began by reviewing the first three chapters of "Messianic Judaism" by David Stern. This new class will alternate with the Hebrew class, every other week from 3:25-5:00pm.

Class schedule: 1:25-2:25pm Torah Table discussion

2:25-3:25pm Alternating weeks: "The Science of G-d" class or "Trope class"

3:25-5:00pm Alternating weeks: Hebrew class or Leadership class - If you have finished reading "Messianic Judaism" the next book the class will discuss is "The Accountable Leader" by Costa Deir
